24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
The rack is much bigger than my previous one. I was disappointed that it was made in China instead of the USA. It assembled very easily and the light kit works very well. The only draw back is I can no longer open my tailgate with the rack installed due to the spare tire hitting the raised rack.
The carrier was exactly what I was expecting. High quality, powder coated, and heavy duty. This will allow me to transport my mower, pressure washer, cooler, and anything that I do not want inside my Jeep. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

23x59 Stromberg Carlson Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Carrier and box will be moved to hitch on 209 Solitude Rv to provide extra cargo carrying ability
A good size and very strong. I like the fact that it has a grated bottom, as opposed to a few bars like many of its competitors. There are many holes and notches present for any customization desired. Also makes for a great chair to relax. I also ordered the anti-rattle pin so as to fasten this tightly to the hitch. IMO that should be included with any of these trailer-hitch-Mount accessories.

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
Purchased this 1 year ago. Worked awesome for a 9.000 mile cross country trip with three off road adventures at geology tour road Joshua tree, west side road Death Valley, and kingman wash lake mead. No rattle, always secure, great clearance. Would purchase again.
It works, but I only put two electric bikes on it. The mesh seems to bend pretty easy.

20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
It was very hard to figure out what kind of cargo carrier would be the best for my needs, until I got on your website. Your videos are very informative to help with making the decision of which cargo carrier was best. It was very easy to put together, and very strong (I put my husband in it)this is perfect for our vacation transportation.
Installation: Easy Assembly: Easy Attached to: Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # C13163 Use: Camping equipment. Cooler, Chairs, Sleeping bags, firewood, etc. Like: The fact that it folds is a huge positive. What I would change: perhaps adding a ring or two on the sides to allow for bungee cords or rope. Because the hitch is already a bit low on the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander (stock wheels, tires, suspension) the back part of the basket can bottom out rather easily. It has nothing to do with the carrier itself though. I would definitely recommend this product! I'm going to use it again in a month for our next camping trip.

24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
We just installed our carrier. We love that this is going to free up a lot of space for our vacation traveling. Very heavy duty and bigger than i was thinking it would be.The pin that holds the carrier in the hitch was not included. It would have been an added bonus if it was.
This cargo carrier fits perfectly behind my 2023 CR-V. I use it for hauling bags of grass to the yard waste. It is almost a two person job inserting it into the receiver though. Seems well made and well finished.

32x48 Reese Solo Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 400 lbs
I received the package in a pretty rough exterior condition but everything was fine inside. The previous comments about having to cut away the expanded metal flooring in order to install the carriage bolts wasn't true in my case. Apparently, this quality control issue has been addressed by the manufacturer. Assembly went well and wasn't complicated. A different carriage bolt with a longer square shoulder should be used. The shoulder doesn't grip too well to the square cutout in the frame and even while pressing firmly on the head of the bolt, it wanted to turn as I was tightening the nut. All in all, it seems to be a solid product and I look forward to using it.
I wish the load capacity was a bit higher, but overall I am satisfied with the cargo carrier. It is perfect for lugging my two dog crates behind my vehicle instead of inside the vehicle. Thank you for offering a dimensionally larger cargo carrier than most retailers.

20x48 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
This is a sturdy carrier. Welds all seem good. Paint is just fine. Steel tubing is very strong. The weight is heavy but reasonable for one person to install and remove. I plan to remove it when not in use on our trip to avoid having to fold it up and lose ability to access the hatch on our van. It has a bit of play in both the receiver and on the folding hinge. I’m going to use construction shims taped in place to reduce the wiggle but even without those, it’s not bad. Even with a jumbo cooler, we can still see the plate. This will do the trick for vacation and camping gear without having to haul a massive 60” carrier. Love the size and build.
Product came in a single box in perfect shape. Great construction, easy to put together. I bought this to go on the front of my John Deere Gator 855D. Sometimes, there just isn't enough room to pack everything you need when going down the trail or you don't feel like slinging a Honda generator and a heavy cooler packed full of ice and your favorite beverages up in the back of the bed. This cargo carrier fit the bill perfectly. It took all of 5 minutes to put it together and slide into the front 2" receiver on my gator. With the fold up design, I have 22" of clearance between the ground and the bottom of the carrier when carrier is folded out horizontal. Being the carrier is 48" wide, it is narrower than the gator, so I don't have to worry about trying to squeeze through a tight space in the woods. If the gator will go through the space, so will the carrier rack. When I don't need the carrier, it is a snap to pull the pin, swing the carrier rack 90 degrees up and pop the pin back in. Even when folded into the upright position, you can easily see over the carrier rack. Thanks for making a great product.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
I've been using this Cargo Carrier on my 4 Runner Venture for about a year now. I Purchased this item to haul extra gear to Nags Head from Northwestern Virginia. Installation was a breeze and it's very, very sturdy. I had two Yeti coolers packed with ice and drinks and there was no wobbling at all. I'm a 197 pounds and I was standing on it after I installed it just to check for durability and this thing is a beast. I also used this as a rod holder while on the beach and I caught a 6 foot black tip shark. Overall, I'm very pleased with this item and I would recommend to a friend.
This is a substantial, well-made product at exactly the size I needed - smaller than many, and with sides that keep items secure. It was very easy to assemble, with all parts included and clearly sorted, and with all pieces manufactured to cleanly align. The item arrived promptly, packed to protect the shipment but without waste. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a high-quality cargo carrier.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
Super disappointed in this etrailer purchase. The product came in a large box that was fully intact and not damaged. The actual cargo basket was meticulously wrapped and appeared to be brand new as expected. The other components however, like the arm, were in boxes that were smashed, old, worn, and had multiple layers of old tape. The arm itself was scratched and banged up, even rusty in spots. Clearly it was used or had been a returned item. If I wanted a dented, gouged, and rusty Cargo Carrier I would have purchased one used, for half the price. This is not the quality I expect from etrailer.. I have purchased many racks and other items from this company and usually the quality is outstanding. This time they dropped the ball. I have since read other reviews and it is apparent that this is not an isolated incident. I'd have sent it back if it wasn't so damn heavy and awkward to lug around.
This carrier worked out great. The tilt down feature is helpful to have but I didn't really need it. However, the fold up feature was helpful when driving around, so I recommend that as a convenience. The only thing I had trouble with was the hitch bolt. I have a Thule bike rack that I've used with my truck hitch receiver and never had a problem, but this rack's hitch bolt was a real pain to get in at first. Don't be dismayed. With the rack off of the vehicle, I used some WD-40 and some lithium grease on the bolt and then used an adjustable wrench to screw it in and out a number of times. I noticed a bunch of either paint or metal shards gumming up the threads on the bolt each time I removed it. After about 5 times of screwing it in and out, wiping off the bolt with a towel, adding some more grease once in a while, it got to the point that I could screw it in and out by hand pretty easily. Problem solved. I'm really happy with this rack. It fit two big coolers of food and beer plus beach umbrellas and other stuff. It's really strong and sturdy. The biggest issue was not the weight on the rack, but whether the rear suspension on the Highlander could hold it with our other junk in the back plus passengers. :-)

GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs - Dark Gray
We looked all over for a hardshell storage pod, one that would fit 300 pounds of embroidery hardware. This one from Gearspace fit the bill. Super easy checkout with etrailer.com, and they were the only ones to offer free shipping, and since this is a larger, heavier item, that means LTL Freight. Not [online vendor] and not the Mfg. The GearSpace 34 arrived earlier than promised, and it was an easy unload if you have room for a sixty foot tractor trailer. 190 lbs on a pallet, but it will load right into the back of a pickup real easy. Took about 30 minutes to install, and it went like a breeze. Light test, check... signals, check. Ready to roll on our next RV trip, with lots more room for goodies along the way. This item gets an A+, it works as advertised, and etrailer.com was GREAT. They communicate often and update on order status. even sent out an email to get customer feedback and review, along with some pictures. I'm sure after this stellar review they will send me a nice etrailer hat & Koozie Pictures show the Gearspace 34 loaded with about 200 lbs right now. It never moved an inch and is solid on the mounting hitch hardware. You will not be disappointed with this product, it's top of the line for RV rear storage.
The gear space was delivered assembled; it took m15 minutes to attach mount into receiver and secure. My wife and I were able to lift onto mount with no problems. Looks great on the back of our Renegafe Vienna. An excellent solution to additional storage for full time Rv.

Yakima MegaWarrior Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 52" Long x 48" Wide
The MegaWarrior is a great Roof Rack. The only thing I didn’t like was the fit to the roof rails. My rails that I purchased from you are shaped like aircraft wings and the basket clamps seem to be designed for round rails. However I was able to complete the attachment and the rack remained secure for a 2,000 mile trip.
Took a few months to get because covid-19 slowed production but worth the wait. It's awsome

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
Greetings, I am giving these items 3? Because I was offered alternative products that did not fit together. Originally, I intended to purchase a roof rack cargo basket type and a spare tire holder from Yakima manufacturer that go well together, but one of them wasn’t in stock. So, after 3 weeks waiting time, I was offered alternative items via etrailer website, and I accepted them…after all, they are the experts. I got the recommended items through UPS, then I assembled them by myself. The roof rack cargo basket fit well on my car, but the spare tire holder was not compatible with the roof rack cargo basket. They couldn’t be assembled together. I submitted my claim to return the spare tire holder. Now, I have not achieved my goal to carry my spare tire. Understanding the needs and expectations of your customers is critical to maximize customer satisfaction. I am sure both products are good, but they are not compatible together, even though they were manufactured by the same company. Distributors should know better! I returned one item and I hope to be refunded.
Great product. Easily puts together and I was able to install on our 2016 Toyota Highlander OEM roof rails with no problems. The mounting brackets slide to make for a easy fit. Have taken it on two long road trips with zero issues last summer one to the montains and one to the beach. Was able to fit our jogging stroller on in the basket. Had some heavy rain on one trip and seen no signs of water getting into the rails as that was a concern of mine when researching the different racks. The high sides allowed for easy tie downs for the weather bag we put the stroller in. Seemed to add a little road noise with nothing in it but that is to be expected when hauling things on the roof but the wind deflector seemed to keep the noise down. Easy to put on and off with a single person able to lift it. Great product, great fit for the car. Plan on using it for some more upcoming trips.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs
Very durable basket, and fairly easy to install. It's definitely transformed the look and practicality of our little SUV.
I am very pleased with the quality for the price.Just the right size for my 2017 Chevy Trax.the "U" bolts that are used to clamp the basket to the roof cross bars were a bit long so I cut them shorter & installed rubber caps on top of each stud. This keeps the studs from damaging items in the bssket.See pictures.

Yakima MegaWarrior Extra Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 74" Long x 48" Wide
Roof rack arrived dented and scratched which complicated the installation because I had to hammer out dents to get the pipes to fit. Apart from that, the paint/coating scratches off fairly easily and the installation design is pretty awful. Instead of threading the pipe to accept screws they have this complicated plastic gasket mechanism which takes forever to align. I expected more from Yakima and for the price. Quick delivery from etrailer and good fit overall-- just need to wait and see about rust.
Initial quality was excellent and assembly a snap. Finding a roof basket that wouldn't look like a tiny hat on a Jeep Commander was difficult, but the MegaWarrior is perfect! Assembly and mounting took less than an hour and it looks great. Now it just needs to be outfitted with a set of off-road lights. ;-)

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.
"Instantly Get Rid of Wobble and Upgrade With Lights" This is not a 5 because ramp should be longer & there should be some type stabilizer to temporary hold bike while strapping down, I'd pay more for those upgrades. The wobble can instantly be solved by hooking Tie-Straps closest to vehicle directly to the receiver where you hook your chains, rather than hooking them to the provided holes on carrier itself. You of course use the provided strap holes ones on the opposite side. When strapped down as stated, the carrier now becomes one with the vehicle & @ 80mph there is no wobble. (*TIP: Put ramp back in its place before strapping down or else it won't fit with the strap hooks in the way.) I upgraded mine with lights for both safety reasons & not needing the Police any reason to pull me over. It was very simple and cost me nothing but time & maybe $50. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Great quality and serves its purpose. I wish I ordered the slightly bigger one to fit the bins and items I use it for. For example, a white standard igloo cooler doesn’t fit the way I need it to maximize loading capacity. I highly recommend a stabilizer to prevent wobble.
Very nice quality. Took one person and two wrench about 15 minutes to install the cargo carrier from box. It is very sturdy and the finish is very good. I really like the added height this specific carrier provides.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 39" Wide x 7-1/4" Tall - 150 lbs
I only use the roof rack for vacations because they make cars so small on the interior now a days. It handles quite a bit of luggage. Including two big size luggage and two small is how I travel. Make sure to get water proof covers and good straps. I stopped every 3 hours to make sure load was secure and drove over 700 miles without any issues. The rack will make whistle noise because of the wind passing through the bars but I just toned it out and blasted the radio . The product is great and sturdy easy on and easy off. My only complaint is putting on the wind guard. I couldn’t figure it out because the instructions have poor information on the wind plate. Also it took two deliveries to receive the product due to my first delivery being opened/ repackaged and missing parts like keys. I returned it and got the product in a new package with no more issues. Customer service was very helpful also and communication was well organized. Make sure to order well in advance just incase you might have to send the product back because of packaging issues. Also product is easy to store without disassembly of the rack rails. I put it in my garage and it takes up no space. I hope this review helps someone. Thank you
I love the rack and the extended length is great on my Sequoia. I am disappointed with the finish on it as the connector plates are already showing signs of rust….. I like it enough that I’m going to repaint it with something more suited to our climate…

Instead of having to cram it in the back seat, where your passengers might be and taking up their elbow and leg room, you can get them in the box, protected from the rain and the sun, and then you can unload it when you get to your destination. Now, the box has a really nice aerodynamic shape.

If you go down to Florida for a week and you use the cargo carry to carry all your luggage, well you don't want a big wonky cargo carrier taking up a bunch of space in your hotel room or anything.

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2017 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT cargo basket, part number TH859XT.The Thule Canyon XT solves a lot of problems for your Jeep Wrangler. For one, it's going to free up space on the inside or it's going to make for more things that you can carry with you when you go on your trips. This can be anything from sporting goods equipment to camping gear to even extra luggage that you didn't know you needed. This has several bars and attachment points to hook up your bungee cords or you ratchet straps, whatever it takes to keep your gear and luggage in place, but these can also serve as mounting points for extra lighting systems, whatever you want to do to sup up your Jeep. The basket itself has this nice aerodynamic shape to it, which gives it a nice factory-style look, once you have it installed on your vehicle. Like with anything on your roof, it is going to make some noise while you drive. However, with the Canyon, they do add this bearing up at the front that comes installed with it. That's going to help quiet it down just a bit while you drive. There's also plenty of space to work with while you're loading things up, as it measures 49 inches long by 40 inches wide by six inches tall at its highest point.

Now, to measure the furthest distance out, we're going to go ahead and start with the tire, and that's going to be about 21-1/2 inches. For our ground clearance, which will be to this bolt here, that's about 20-1/2 inches.
Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we're test fitting the Curt 20x60 Cargo Carrier, part number C18150. It's got a 500 pound weight capacity and is designed to work with 2 inch hitches. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. We have about 20 3/4 inches of ground clearance. It's because we've got that nice raised shank in the back here, so it's going to lift that up even higher than a normal straight shank would. Our overall to the back of the Jeep, we're adding about 29 1/4 inches there. Now if we take a look at our closest distance, I can barely fit my pinky in there.
Curt 17x46 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Then going to line up our threaded hole with our hitch pinhole. Once we have those in line we'll take the provided anti-rattle bolt and we're going to thread this on through. Now with that hand tight you'll notice, got some movement and some play to our carrier there so now it's time to use our wrench.
Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, we are going to be doing a test fit on the 31x47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier. They've designed this for use in 2 inch hitches and offers a 400 pound weight capacity. The part number on it is PS1040100. As you can see, it's kind of the larger carriers that we offer, if you have a buddy around grab him to help you, if not I'd like to just kind of rest the shank of the carrier there into the receiver tube, then I'll come around to the rear and lift up and push in at the same time. We are now going to line up our hole that is here in the shank with our pinch hole in the receiver tube. With those in line, we'll take a standard five eights pin, we are going to slide it through and we'll secure it on the other side with the clip. Now the pin and clip are sold separately, if you don't already have one, we've got them listed on the website part number PC3. Let's take a look here and see what we've got.
Carpod Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we'll be taking a look at our Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier here on our 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. So this is an option for you for when you wanna create a little bit more cargo space, but you also want it slightly enclosed. So let's say you have your firewood here, you have your cooler here, but even if you have your slightly more valuable items in your cargo carrier, with the lockable functions that this has, this allows you to both carry it, keep it out of your Jeep Wrangler, but also try to lock it, so that people don't get to it. We'll take a look at how this works with our Wrangler, but first off, this is kind of a short cargo carrier, so you will need to use this with a hitch extender, which we already have on our Wrangler, that's because we need to clear that spare tire while also give ourselves a little extra clearance, so I'll give you the height measurement for that extender later just so you can see how it works with you and your own equipment. So we'll take some measurements first, because this is on the larger side for our cargo carriers. So it is a 23 by 47 inch long cargo carrier, we have the lid, we have this strap holding that lid into place, and that's what this kit comes with.
